Over 200 technical and coaching staff from GYL and GJDL clubs came together at Valentine Sports Park earlier this month to officially launch the 2026 Girls Youth League season⚽
Centered on the theme “Developing Creativity Within Our Players”, the launch featured practical, age-appropriate sessions delivered by Football NSW staff and Football Australia Junior and Young Matildas National Team coaches.
The focus was on decision-making, player expression and building confident footballers, alongside a strong emphasis on structured wellbeing programs to support both players and coaches throughout the season 💡
Clubs were also updated on the Club Standards & Benchmarking Framework as it enters its third year, with 2026 outcomes set to help shape competition structures for 2027.
