Cricket: Alyssa Healy's Farewell Series Begins as India Women Tour Australia

One of Australian cricket’s greatest careers reaches its conclusion when India Women arrive for a full tour starting February 15. Eight World Cup titles. A 16-0 whitewash of England. One of the most destructive wicketkeeper-batters the game has ever produced.

A Legendary Career

Healy announced her retirement from all forms of cricket in January. The 36-year-old cited mental exhaustion and injuries. She opted not to extend through to the Women’s T20 World Cup in England in June. The decision is final.

Make no mistake — this is no farewell tour against weak opposition. India won the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup. They chased 339 against Australia in the semi-final, the highest successful ODI chase in women’s history. The visitors will be determined to win on Australian soil.
