The Bathurst 1000 is the undisputed highlight of the Supercars Championship calendar and one of the most iconic motorsport events in the world. Held at the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales, the 1000-kilometre endurance race has been a fixture of Australian motorsport since 1960. The 6.213km circuit, with its dramatic elevation changes of 174 metres, the terrifying Skyline section, the plunging Conrod Straight where cars reach over 300km/h, and the treacherous final corners of The Chase, creates a spectacle unlike anything else in world motorsport.
Every Supercars driver dreams of winning "The Great Race." From Peter Brock's legendary nine victories to Craig Lowndes' emotional triumphs and the modern-era battles between Triple Eight and DJR, Bathurst has produced moments that transcend sport and become part of Australian culture.
