Just over a week out. The 2026 Repco Supercars Championship is almost here. All three homologation teams have completed critical pre-season testing ahead of the season opener at Sydney Motorsport Park on February 20.
Triple Eight Shakedown at Queensland Raceway
Triple Eight Race Engineering conducted shakedown days on Monday February 9 and Tuesday February 10 at Queensland Raceway. First laps in Will Brown’s new Red Bull Ampol Racing Ford Mustang. The team went straight from its 2026 season launch in Geelong on February 7 to Ipswich. Both new Mustangs turned their first competitive laps.
Defending champion Broc Feeney and Brown will again lead Triple Eight’s charge. The team is building on a dominant 2025 campaign.
Three Manufacturers in Action
Historic moment for the championship. All three homologation teams — Triple Eight (Ford), Walkinshaw TWG Racing (Toyota), and Team 18 (Chevrolet) — ran cars during four sessions across Friday and Saturday at the Bathurst 12 Hour weekend. First time all three brands were on track together in a competitive environment.
The introduction of the Toyota GR Supra is the biggest story heading into the season. Walkinshaw TWG Racing has been working through an extensive testing programme. The Japanese manufacturer is making its long-awaited debut on Australian soil.
