ACT Brumbies

The ACT Brumbies are one of the most successful Australian franchises in Super Rugby history. Club History

The ACT Brumbies were founded in 1996 as part of the expansion of the newly professional Super Rugby competition. Despite being considered a smaller market franchise drawn from the Australian Capital Territory and surrounding regions of New South Wales, the Brumbies quickly established themselves as a powerhouse. Under the coaching of Rod Macqueen and later Eddie Jones, the Brumbies won their first Super Rugby title in 2001, defeating the Sharks in the final. A second title followed in 2004 under David Nucifora, confirming the Brumbies as the most successful Australian team in the competition.
